1894 Uncle Tom's Cabin book by Harriet Beecher Stowe


Rare antique 1894 edition of Harriet Beecher Stowe's book Uncle Tom's Cabin or, Life Among the Lowly. Stowe's novel became a turning point for the abolitionist movement; she brought clarity to the harsh reality of slavery in this book that inspired many to join anti-slavery movements.

This book has a stunning blue, gold, and red floral designed cover published by Henry Altemus in the 19th century. There are also some illustrations within. This would be a wonderful addition to any home library or decor.

There is wear, bumping, and discoloration/spotting on the cover, spine, and pages due to age. The front cover/pages also overhang a little bit. The book measures about 6" x 4.2" x 1.2". Please note that photos may appear brighter than actual book.
