Rare antique Alice's Adventures in Wonderland book by Lewis Carroll. This book has a very rare and stunning decorative cover from HM Caldwell that is dark red, blue, and gold. There are also many black and white illustrations within.
Alice in Wonderland is a story about Alice who falls down a rabbit hole and lands into a fantasy world that is full of weird, wonderful people and animals. It's a classic children's book that's popular with children and adults alike.
There is no date in this book, but there is an inscription from 1898. There is wear and discoloration to the cover, spine, and pages due to age and the pages in the beginning appear to be splitting from the spine but are still in tact. There might also be one page torn out after the title page, but it's not really noticeable. Spine text and design are faded, but cover is gorgeous. The book measures about 6" x 4.25".
