Alison Rose Vintage is a shop filled with thoughtful, vintage-style word art on handmade paper and cardstock as well as beautiful antiques. The goal of this business is to spread love and hope, giving you words to look at and share that encourage, inspire, and comfort.
Thank you so much for shopping at Alison Rose Vintage. I’m Alison Rose and I define myself as an old soul with a generous heart. I’m deeply passionate about words and giving. I’ve been mailing letters, cards, and gifts to family and friends for 25 years, forming very special bonds. I started this business to help you connect with your loved ones as well.
I was born and raised in West Virginia, lived in Ohio and Massachusetts for many years, and now reside in East Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In addition to pouring my heart and soul into Alison Rose Vintage, I also love to snuggle my dog, read, volunteer, and explore beautiful places.

One of my favorite parts of owning a small business is stopping into shops that carry Alison Rose Vintage products. We stopped at Wellfleet Marine on Cape Cod, Locally Yours in Plymouth, MA, Three Buoys and a Mermaid in Duxbury, MA, Framed in Time in Framingham, MA, Kitchen Sink Candle Co in Bolton, MA, Willow in Windham, NH, and Sea Love in Kennebunkport, ME. I got to meet several shop owners, sit for hours with people I’ve collaborated with over the years, and stop and chat with several of my fellow maker friends at the pro.found market...
I’ve been reading a book from the 1890s called, “The Technique of Rest” and this quote really hit home: “She lives in a perpetual sense of not being able to draw one full breath.” Do you ever feel this way? It’s why my word of the year this year is “breathe” and why I’m writing this blog post today. We can all benefit from ways to calm our nervous systems. Read this blog post for five mini meditations or visualizations to help you take a full, deep breath and remember that you can experience serenity through your own imagination.
