Rare antique 1906/1907 set of 3 Henry D. Thoreau books including Cape Cod, Excursions, and The Maine Woods. These books are beautifully bound in green leather with gold accents.
In his books, Thoreau reflects on simple living in natural surroundings. This set would be such a wonderful gift for any book collector or give as a romantic birthday or anniversary gift.
These books have wear and discoloration on covers, spines, and pages. Leather is significantly wearing/crumbling along edges and spines. Dark spots/outlining on covers, Cape Cod cover particularly. All pages appear to be in tact. Books measure about 6.25" x 4" each Please note that photos may appear brighter than actual books.
