Antique 1800s The Poetical Works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. This is a beautiful Gall & Inglis edition with an orange-ish and gold gilt cover and spine. There are also very nice steel engravings within.
This is a pretty comprehensive book of Longfellow's poetry including Evangeline, Hiawatha, Tales of a Wayside Inn, and many more. This book would be amazing to display on a bookshelf or gift to someone who loves antique books, poetry, or Longfellow.
There is no publish date, but there are inscriptions in the front from 1886, 1943, and 1992 (very cool to see the history of who owned this book!). The cover, spine, and pages have wear and discoloration due to age and the title page is detached (pictured). This book measures about 7.75" x 5.25" x 1.25". Please note that photos may appear brighter than actual book.
