Founded over a century ago, the ACLU works to preserve the promises of the US Constitution and expand the reach of its guarantees. As a non-partisan non-profit, the ACLU fights passionately for the civil rights of every group and individual, including LGBTQ and immigrant communities.
Equal Justice Initiative (EJI)
EJI is a national non-profit providing legal representation and re-entry assistance to people who have been illegally convicted, unfairly sentenced, or abused in state jails and prisons. They also have anti-poverty and anti-hunger programs, as well as the most phenomenal history museums in the country in Montgomery, Alabama.

Knox Needs and Knox Pride
Knox Needs is a non-profit organization local to Knoxville, Tennessee. They believe that daily access to food is a human right, regardless of housing circumstances. Volunteers prepare food in their own kitchens and distribute dozens of ready-to-eat meals per day at Sam Duff Memorial Park.
Knox Pride Center is also in Knoxville, Tennessee and includes LGBTQ+ events and support, a food pantry and community fridge, thrift store, and so much more. They also distribute hundreds of meal kits during the holidays and organize Knox Pride Fest with live music, speakers, and vendors.
Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network (RAINN)
RAINN is the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the US. They operate the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org) and work to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure justice. 25% of the sale of The Light Will Return Again print supports RAINN.
The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is a national non-profit organization focusing on LGBTQ+ youth, providing a 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, virtual community support, and educational resources that empower individuals to embrace their authentic selves.
To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA)
TWLOHA is a national non-profit movement dedicated to finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. It's a lifeline that exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and, most importantly, invest directly in the treatment and recovery of those who need it most.
In addition to being a monthly donor, Alison also hosts fundraisers for TWLOHA including one for Suicide Prevention Month in September every year.
Women's Lunch Place
Women's Lunch Place provides a safe day sanctuary, nutritious meals, and critical support services for women experiencing homelessness or poverty in the Boston, MA area. Every year they offer $25 Mother's Day cards that pay for a week of healthy meals for their guests.
World Central Kitchen (WCK)
WCK is a global non-profit guided by the belief that food is a universal human right. They are first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. In 2025, WCK founder José Andrés, was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of his extraordinary contributions.
