This book is unique because it is bound with the wrong cover. The cover is for The Lady of the Lake by Sir Walter Scott, but inside is The Lays of Ancient Rome by T.B. Macaulay. Either way, it has a beautiful Henry Altemus cover design picturing a house in the countryside. There are also black and white illustrations throughout.
There is no copyright date in this book, but it was likely published in the late 1800s/early 1900s. The cover, spine, and pages have some wear and discoloration due to age. Book measures about 6.25" x 4.25". Photos may appear brighter than actual book.
