Rare and stunning 1890s Evangeline, A Tale of Acadie and Other Poems book by Henry W. Longfellow. This is a Henry Altemus edition with a gorgeous floral design in blue, green, gold, and red colors. There are also a few lovely black and white illustrations within.
This epic poem follows an Acadian girl named Evangeline and her search for her lost love Gabriel.
There is no copyright date in this book, but there is an inscription from 1897. The title pages also seem to be missing. There is some wear and discoloration to the cover, spine, and pages, but overall this book still in good condition. Book measures about 6.25" x 4.25".
