How to Meet This Difficult Day
Some days when I forget how to pray,
if I listen with my whole body
the world reminds me how
what is used up and spent
is also a vessel for the holy
as dry leaves become a nest,
as bare branches hold the sunrise
The words are printed in a typewriter font on handmade cotton rag paper. The color of the paper is a natural, unbleached white but may occasionally have tiny speckles of random color from other fibers mixed in. Size varies slightly because of the imperfect nature of handmade paper, but will be roughly 5" x 7", 8" x 10", or 11" x 14" based on your selection.
